The Board of Governors has three members. The governors holds full responsibility for monetary policy. The Board of Governors meets on a daily basis and can take monetary-policy decisions at any time.
As Governor by Royal Appointment Mr. Nils Bernstein is Chairman of the Board of Governors. The two other members, who are appointed by the Board of Directors on the recommendation of the Committee of Directors, are Mr. Per Callesen and Mr. Hugo Frey Jensen.
Governors are appointed for unlimited tenures. The retirement age is 70.
