- Execution of foreign-exchange, monetary and liquidity policies, including intervention in the foreign-exchange and money markets
- Ongoing monitoring and analysis of market developments in the domestic and foreign financial markets
Tasks relating to portfolio management
- Management of Danmarks Nationalbank's foreign-exchange reserve
- Management of Danmarks Nationalbank's bond portfolio
Tasks relating to implementation of the government debt policy
- Selling and purchasing domestic government securities
- Conducting treasury-bill auctions
- Issuing government bonds in foreign capital markets
- Arranging Cross Currency and Interest Rate Swaps
- Handling guarantees to government-guaranteed entities
