Motifs
The portrait on the face of the banknote shows Pauline Tutein, née Rath, who was married to the merchant Peter Tutein. The portrait was painted by Jens Juel (1745-1802). The watermark on the 20-krone banknote differs from that on the other notes in the 1972 series, in that it shows a palette with brushes.
The two sparrows were reproduced from a drawing by Danmarks Nationalbank's illustrator at that time, Gunnar Andersen (1919-1981).
