The Kanslergade agreement – devaluation of the krone



After almost 1½ years with a floating exchange rate the Kanslergade Agreement between the government (the Social Democratic Party and the Radical Liberal Party) and the Liberal Party meant that the krone was to be held at a rate of kr. 22.50 against sterling, equivalent to writing it down by 24 per cent.
