Junior Covered Bonds and bonds issued by Danish Ship Finance will be omitted from the collateral basis with effect from April 1, 2015.
Normalization of conditions on the financial markets and in the financial sector gives Danmarks Nationalbank opportunity to simplify the collateral basis. The permanent collateral basis will after this change consist of securities issued or guaranteed by public authorities and mortgage bonds.
The amount of eligible collateral will after these changes in collateral basis still well exceed monetary-policy counterparties borrowing requirements in Danmarks Nationalbank.
