Banking and mortgage lending balances and interests August 2026
Danmarks Nationalbank publishes monthly statistics on balance sheets and interest rates of banks and mortgage credit institutions.
The statistics include information on the holdings and transactions of banks and mortgage credit institutions, particularly in relation to loans and deposits. In addition, they provide data on interest rates and administration margins for both outstanding loans and new lending. Besides data on loans and deposits, the statistics also include balance sheet data for the consolidated MFI sector. The MFI sector comprises banks, mortgage credit institutions, other credit institutions, money market funds and Danmarks Nationalbank.
The principles governing the contents and structure of the statistics are laid down in the ECB regulation concerning the consolidated balance sheet of the MFI sector and European Central Bank's regulation no. 290/2009 concerning the changes to regulation no. 63/2002 (ECB/2001/18) concerning statistics on interest rates applied by monetary financial institutions to deposits and loans vis-à-vis households and non-financial corporations.
