Danmarks Nationalbank publishes monthly statistics based on Danmarks Nationalbank's Expectations Survey.
As part of Danmarks Nationalbank’s Expectations Survey, a sample of the population in Denmark is invited each month to answer a number of questions about their expectations for the economy. Individuals’ expectations about the future influence how they spend, borrow and invest money. As a result, these expectations affect the development of the Danish economy.
To shed light on developments in the Danish population’s perceptions of and expectations for key economic conditions statistics based on the survey results are published on a monthly basis for the following topics:
Income
Inflation
Interest rates
Consumption
Housing
The statistics thereby contribute to public knowledge of the formation and evolution of economic expectations in Denmark.
