Danmarks Nationalbank's Expectations Survey

Statistics based on Danmarks Nationalbank’s Expectations Survey

As part of Danmarks Nationalbank’s Expectations Survey, a sample of the population in Denmark is invited each month to answer a number of questions about their expectations for the economy, including income, inflation, interest rates, consumption and house prices. Individuals’ expectations about the future influence how they spend, borrow and invest money. As a result, these expectations affect the development of the Danish economy.

The results of the survey contribute to Danmarks Nationalbank's ability to prepare even better analyses of and forecasts for the Danish economy. In addition, statistics based on the survey results are published monthly to shed light on developments in the Danish population’s perceptions of and expectations for key economic conditions. The statistics thereby contribute to public knowledge of the formation and evolution of economic expectations in Denmark.
