The markets have raised the Danes' wealth in the 2nd quarter of 2023
The net financial wealth of Danish households increased by kr. 83 billion in the 2nd quarter of 2023 to kr. 7,253 billion. On average, this corresponds to a financial net wealth of kr. 1.2 million to every Dane. Households' financial net wealth is the difference between the market value of their financial assets and debts. The increase in the wealth during the 2nd quarter of 2023 is due, among other things, to pension wealth having grown by kr. 32 billion due to tailwind on the global equity markets. In addition, the rising wealth also reflects that Danish households increased their deposits in the banks by kr. 31 billion and reduced their debts.
