Euro area investors holds on to 30-year mortgage bonds
In recent years, euro area investors have had a stable ownership share in Danish 30-year fixed-rate convertible mortgage bonds at a level over 20 per cent. Other foreign investors, on the other hand, have reduced their ownership share. With around three quarters of the euro countries' investments, Germany is the largest investor country in the euro area. This appears from securities statistics from the European Central Bank on the euro countries' investments in Danish mortgage bonds, which now is published in Danmarks Nationalbank's data bank.
