REPORT AND ACCOUNTS 2013
At the meeting of the Board of Directors of Danmarks Nationalbank on 17 March 2014, the Board of Governors presented the Report and Accounts 2013.
The report describes Danmarks Nationalbank's general activities during the year in relation to monetary and exchange-rate policy, the domestic financial system, payment systems, and production of banknotes and coins.
Danmarks Nationalbank's Accounts 2013 were submitted by the Board of Governors for adoption on the recommendation of the Committee of Directors. The Board of Directors and the Royal Bank Commissioner, Mr Henrik Sass Larsen, Minister for Business and Growth, approved the Accounts.
The result for the year shows a negative result of kr. 6,319 million compared with a profit of kr. 4,042 million in 2012. The negative result was particularly affected by negative value adjustments, primarily on gold. Net income from interest rates fell by kr. 613 million to kr. 3,221 million. Expenses totaled kr. 599 million compared to kr. 560 million in the previous year. Kr. 1,423 million is transferred to the central government compared to kr. 1,703 million in 2012.

NEW ELECTIONS TO THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
The Board of Directors has elected Professor Christian Schultz, University of Copenhagen, as member of the Board of Directors from 1 April 2014 to 31 March 2018. He succeeds Mr Niels Boserup. The Board of Directors has also elected CEO Gitte Pugholm Aabo, Leo Pharma, as member of the Board of Directors from 1 April 2014 to 31 March 2019. She succeeds Mr Lars Rebien Sørensen.
