REPORT AND ACCOUNTS 2014
Danmarks Nationalbank's accounts for 2014 were approved at the meeting of the Board of Directors on 17 March 2015. The profit for the year was kr. 6,965 million, compared with a loss of kr. 6,319 million in 2013. The positive result was driven by positive value adjustments, including for gold. A gain of kr. 1.3 billion from the sale of shares in Nets is also included in the result. Expenses totalled kr. 537 million, which is just over kr. 60 million lower than in the preceding year, reflecting a reduction of the number of employees and falling production of banknotes and coins. Kr. 1,769 million was paid to the central government, compared with kr. 1,423 million in 2013.
