The Danish Foreign-Exchange Market
The foreign-exchange market is a market for purchase and sale of foreign exchange against Danish kroner. Capital flows and foreign trade are the principal factors creating the need for this market, in which exchange-rate risks are hedged and conversion between kroner and foreign currency takes place. Since the krone rate is formed in the foreign-exhange market the latter plays a central role in the monetary and foreign-exchange policy.
