The Budgetary Situation in Germany and France
The budget deficits of Germany and France have increased strongly, and the two countries are not compliant with the objectives in the Stability and Growth Pact. The article considers the reasons for the deficits occurring as well as some of the economic factors of significance to sustained budgetary development.
