On 5 October 2023, Assistant Governor Thomas Harr gave a presentation about the outlook for the global and Danish economy at Danske Bank. In the presentation, he argues that a soft landing is still the most likely scenario for the global and Danish economy, but there are downside risks. Inflation has fallen substantially as expected, but there is a risk it will be more persistent. The effect of higher interest rates on the economy is working broadly as expected.
