Governor Hugo Frey Jensen has decided to resign his position as a member of Danmarks Nationalbank's Board of Governors to retire. The resignation will take effect when a replacement has been found.
Hugo Frey Jensen has worked for Danmarks Nationalbank since 1984 when he graduated from Aarhus University as Master of Science (Economics). During his tenure at Danmarks Nationalbank, he has served in various departments at Danmarks Nationalbank before being appointed Governor in 2011.
"Hugo Frey Jensen knows Danmarks Nationalbank better than most, and both his profound professionalism and personality will be missed," says Governor Lars Rohde, Danmarks Nationalbank, continuing: "A structured recruitment process will be launched soon to find the right replacement for Hugo Frey Jensen."
"After 36 enjoyable years at Danmarks Nationalbank, I have decided to retire. I am looking forward to managing my own time and spending more time with my family," says Hugo Frey Jensen.
Danmarks Nationalbank's Board of Directors will select a new member of the Board of Governors upon nomination from the Committee of Directors.
