Head of Banking and Markets, Lars Mayland Nielsen will be leaving Danmarks Nationalbank to take up a position as CEO of LD Pensions on 1 August 2022.

Lars Mayland Nielsen is taking over from Dorrit Vanglo, who is leaving LD Pensions to engage in board work. Lars Mayland Nielsen has been with Danmarks Nationalbank since 2002 and has been Head of Banking and Markets since February 2021.

"We're pleased that the Board of Directors of LD Pensions has decided to appoint Lars Mayland Nielsen as their new CEO. Lars Mayland is a strong choice and has a solid professional background from Danmarks Nationalbank, where he has been involved, for the past 20 years, in managing the foreign-exchange reserve and government debt as well as having contributed to the development and modernisation of monetary policy instruments, among other things. At the same time, Lars Mayland is a well-liked and visionary leader," says Governor Lars Rohde.

"I'm pleased with the trust that the Board of Directors of LD Pensions has shown me, and I'm very much looking forward to taking up the important job of managing the Cost-of-Living Allowance Fund and The Holiday Allowance Fund in a responsible and sustainable way together with LD Pensions' highly skilled employees," says Lars Mayland Nielsen.

Lars Mayland Nielsen will be stepping down before the summer holidays. Danmarks Nationalbank will soon initiate the process of recruiting a new Head of Banking and Markets.
