Interest rate increase

​Danmarks Nationalbank raises the current-account rate, the rate of interest on certificates of deposit and the lending rate by 0.75 percentage point with effect from 9 September 2022. In addition, the discount rate is raised by 0.65 percentage point.

Danmarks Nationalbank raises the current-account rate, the rate of interest on certificates of deposit and the lending rate by 0.75 percentage point with effect from 9 September 2022. In addition, the discount rate is raised by 0.65 percentage point.

The interest rate increase is a consequence of the increase by the European Central Bank of its main monetary policy rate, the deposit facility rate, by 0.75 percentage point. Thereby, the monetary policy spread vis-à-vis the euro area will remain unchanged.

Effective from the above date, Danmarks Nationalbank's interest rates are:

Current-account rate: 0.65 per cent p.a.

Certificates of deposit rate: 0.65 per cent p.a.

Lending rate: 0.80 per cent p.a.

Discount rate: 0.65 per cent p.a.
