Oversight of the Financial Infrastructure in Denmark 2014
Danmarks Nationalbank is responsible for oversight of the Danish financial infrastructure. The payment systems Kronos, the Sumclearing and Intraday Clearing, as well as the VP securities settlement system are comprised by Danmarks Nationalbank's oversight. These systems constitute the core building blocks of the Danish financial infrastructure. Danmarks Nationalbank also contributes to the oversight by other central banks of international payment and settlement systems that are part of the Danish infrastructure. Furthermore Danmarks Nationalbank oversees the most important payment instruments. The overall results of Danmarks Nationalbank's oversight are presented in this publication, and a number of recommendations are presented with a view to further strengthening of safe and efficient settlement of payments and securities transactions in Denmark.
