Oversight of the financial infrastructure in Denmark 2015
This publication presents the general conclusions of Danmarks Nationalbank's oversight of the core payment and settlement systems in the Danish infrastructure as well as the most important payment instruments. Danmarks Nationalbank assesses whether the structures and functionalities of the systems and instruments comply with international standards. In addition, the publication describes the operational reliability, liquidity and the need for further development of the systems subject to oversight.
Danmarks Nationalbank's general assessment is that the payment and settlement systems are safe and efficient. On the basis of Danmarks Nationalbank's oversight activities, five recommendations are made with a view to further promoting safe and efficient settlement of payments and securities trading. In 2014, there was particular focus on adapting governance structures and risk management frameworks in order to comply with the tightened requirements in the applicable international standards.
