Research Networks

Abstract icon The Research Unit at Danmarks Nationalbank participates in several international research networks.

International Banking Research Network (IBRN)
The International Banking Research Network (IBRN) was established in 2018 with the purpose of bringing together central bank researchers from around the world to analyse issues pertaining to international banks. A common underlying theme of research conducted in the IBRN is the use of micro-level data to better understand the consequences of global banking. Members of the IBRN include more than 25 central banks, as well as the Bank of International Settlements, the International Monetary Fund, the OECD, the European Systemic Risk Board, and the Financial Stability Board.

Euro Area Business Cycle Network (EABCN)
The Euro Area Business Cycle Network (EABCN) provides a forum for the better understanding of the Euro area business cycle, linking academic researchers and researchers in central banks and other policy institutions involved in the empirical analysis of the Euro area business cycle. The EABCN hosts research conferences and coordinates research projects among its members, which include central banks within and around the Euro area.

Network for Greening the Financial System (NGFS)
The Network for Greening the Financial System is a group of central banks and supervisors contributing towards the development of environment and climate risk management in the financial sector, and the mobilisation of mainstream finance to support the transition toward a sustainable economy. The NGFS was established in 2017, and its members include central banks and financial regulatory authorities from across the world.
