Conference on climate change and green transition – implications for the financial sector

On 19 June, 2025, Danmarks Nationalbank hosted a conference on implications for the financial sector from climate change and green transition. Climate change remains a major challenge and will, if not addressed, impact our economies and financial sectors. A green transition is therefore necessary to limit the consequences of climate change. The conference focused on how authorities and financial institutions manage risks related to the green transition and climate change in a period, where attention is increasingly being drawn to other agendas.

To shed light on the consequences of climate change and the green transition for the financial sector, we invited a broad range of speakers and panelists, including Katherine Richardson (University of Copenhagen), Patrick Amis (European Central Bank), Mark Irubetagoyena (BNP Paribas), Megan Greene (Bank of England), Jacob Gyntelberg (Jyske Bank), Martin Oksbjerg (Danmarks Nationalbank), Ulrik Nødgaard (Danmarks Nationalbank) and Signe Krogstrup (Danmarks Nationalbank).
